what is the best way to teach the toddlers the solar system? Any songs that work for you?

Well, the sun's a hot star,
Mercury's hot too.
Venus is the brightest planet,
Earth's home to me and you!
Mars is the red one,
Jupiter's most wide.
Saturn's got those icy rings,
and Uranus spins on it's side.
Neptune's really windy,
and plutoid's reallllllly small.
Well, you wanted to name the plants,
and now we've named them all.
These have hand/body motions. I stole it from and old blue's clue's episode.

I changed Pluto to plutoid when it lost it's status as a planet. LOLComment

A center I used to work at had a toy that would sing that song, which wouldn't have been so bad except that you could push on each planet and it would sing that planet's line of the song. "Jupiter's most wide" is nails on a chalk board to me. Have I ever mentioned that I hate electronic toys?Comment
