    SA Capacity

Just realized I'm not logged in but I'm on my phone so just going to continue...
I'm in CA and have a small hdc. I opened recently and was at capacity yesterday for the first time-8 kids! It is exciting for me but today I came across a "capacity regulations" sheet and noticed something for the first time. It states you can have 2 infants, 4 two to fives and 2 school age. Is it correct that the capacity is 2 school age kids? I actually had 5 sa yesterday and will have again 3 days next week. I do only have 2 infants at a time and I understand why that is important.
Unfortunately I did not see this sheet until after I submitted the meals for the fp yesterday and am a bit worried if I was over cap they're going to call licensing. I just want to make sure I am following the rules and can correct it asap if needed. Hoping someone here can give insight, if not I'll make some calls on Monday.
    Thanks in advance.

No, as I read it, it isn't a cap on school age kids. Two kids have to be school age in order to have 8. Otherwise you can only have 6.

I don't know much about CA's regs. If it's like KY's regs, you can sub an SAer for a younger age group. For example, in KY, you can have 10 children but no more than 4 under 1 and no more than 6 under 6. So you could have 4 infants, 2 1-5 year olds, and 4 SAers (6+ years). But you could, if you wanted, have 10 6+ year old SAers. Or 2 infants and 8 SAers.

Thank you for the replies. I was really about to kick myself if I had overlooked such a crucial detail in capacity regulations. The way this information was worded it really made it seem like more than 2 were not allowed.
Sometimes it the silliest most common sense things than can send you into a panic.
Thanks again and have a great weekend
