sand in eyes

I read a post on here a while back about a trick for getting sand out of the eyes. You put something on a cotton ball I think but I can't remember what it was. I've searched but can't find the thread. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? I've had 2 incidents with sand in the eye lately & I'd like to feel more prepared. Thanks!

I used to just put water on a cotton ball and then wring it out a bit. Then 'touch' gently and the sand will stick to the wet cotton ball. Do 'not' slide or wipe as that might scratch the eye being sand is an abrasive.

It works great.
