    The dcks don't go in his room, but he shares a bedroom with his little brother (11 mo). We don't have a basement, though I would love one. Ds can play independently pretty well without direct supervision so maybe until the baby is a little older I could just gate off his room & have the baby play in the playroom. Baby is typically only in there when sleeping or for diaper changes or helping me put clothes away anyway. He prefers the room with all the toys

      Most of my daycare kids and all my personal children have done this. I get out wipes, we wipes shelf down, sort & organize, rearrange room. Happens every 3-4 months. Doesn't bother me.
