3 point or 5 point harness?

I'm starting a 12 month old next week and need either a high chair or booster seat. I had to have a 5 point harness for my current s/n child, and my brain got stuck on that. I was looking for 5 point and there aren't many. So now I'm thinking that it isn't needed. 5 point or 3 point?

Also, are booster seats with a tray safe enough? I've always used high chairs, but there just aren't any at yard sales right now, and those things are expensive new.

    Thanks!

I am down to a 3 point booster by 12 months... of course I have ones that convert from 5 point infant to 3 point toddler

I bought mine during the 3 years they actually sold in the states ( 145 each )

Check out Amazon. I've found high chairs on there for $30. I paid $39 for my Graco Simple Switch high chair.
