Give him some choices . Ex : if you choose to speak to me rudely X will happen while you are here . He can choose to be polite or rude . He's 9 . He can accept consequences for his actions.

He plays the Xbox constantly while hes is here plus plays violent games that I absolutely hate. My step cousin is bad influence on him IMO.

They don't let me discipline him.

This would be a deal breaker for me. If a child is in my home and misbehaves, I need to be able to discipline that child - nephew or not. I would hand them a list of child care providers in the area - I might even make some phone calls myself to see who had openings - and give them the date of my last day caring for him.

I'm confused, is this at your house/daycare? Or are you visiting them?

If it's your house, then it's your rules. Disconnect the Xbox during daycare hours. You wouldn't want your other clients kids watching a horrible violent video game.

This in on YOU. When you're the adult in charge, you can stop that behavior for sure. Take away the Xbox. Hide the games. At 9, he should not be exposed to those kind of games. I wouldn't allow it.

As the others have mentioned, it's YOUR house. Enforce YOUR rules. If your sister doesn't like it, she can find someone else to watch her kid. The only problem here is that you're allowing your sister and her 9 year old to walk all over you.

I will definitely do that!!! If they don't like it, they can bite me!!! I'm just tired of the attitude problem I could scream. I actually volunteer at a daycare and those kids mind better (sometimes) then he does. Him and his cousin were outside playing one night and they hit the side wall and broke a piece of rock off,but nothing was done about it. My stepmom didn't say anything.
