    On Truck with Hubby

So I am on the truck with hubby for a couple weeks so not around much. I am restructuring my rates going to have to lower them again. I am planning a booth for our village family fun night. I would LOVE any ideas you have for that such as a short fun game or something. Trying to get my name out there more. I am also restructuring my schedule so that PNPS can be in DDS room at naptime leaving playroom more spacious. Just starting nap a bit earlier so hopefully it will be over by 3 that is what time DD gets home from school. You are all a great sounding board so throw me your thoughts.

Are you having fun traveling? I think that could be interesting seeing different scenery. Sometimes when I'm in the mood I'll go cruising back roads just to see people's homes and landscaping.

Ok, ideas for fun night.....does it have to be a game or can it be an activity?
    Beanbag toss
Rice table filled with lots of different things
    Sensory bottles
    Make crowns, masks, etc.
    Make stress balls
    Tub of cloud dough
    Water table
    Hopscotch
    Ring Toss
You could do something with cut-up pool noodles

It depends on how much space you'll get, how messy you want to be, and I'd try to use what you might already have at home.
Plus what about making one of those tri-fold thingies with pictures of your set-up and some printed information?

It doesn't have to be a game. Prefer not messy it is downtown so no way to clean up.

Personally I like a good old fashioned fish pond. Some kind of container you could use for water, preferably long but shallow, rubber ducks with numbers written on bottom and a couple of nets. Or do it without water and use poles (dowel rods) and magnets with cardboard fish brightly painted. You could buy cheap prizes someplace like (forget that party place online's name). Then put a prize in a baggie along with your business card and tie with yarn.

Whatever you do be sure to keep receipts for whatever you have to buy and take them off on your taxes. Business advertising expense!

That sounds like a great place to market your business. Here's a couple ideas: a coloring station, ping pong ball toss game (like the Grand Prize game from Bozo the clown)or rubber ducks in a kids pool. You could probably get a lot of prizes for really cheap from Oriental Trading online.

Another marketing idea I recently had. I took my sons to the park the other day at about 5:30 and it was full of people in dresses and suits running around with little kids. I was seriously considering going back with business cards sometime and handing them out.

What sort of activities do you like to do with the dcks? If you could somehow replicate it a little bit there, so it is representative of what your dc would be like?

I would do some sort of art or sensory thing. Sensory bottles is a good idea. Easy to set up. Or have paper covering a table and have some paint with different objects to paint with and have it like a collage. Little dabs of paint here and there (so there wouldn't be a waste) with q tips, sticks, sponges, etc to paint with.

To stick with the game ideas, I like the fish pond one. I think that would be fairly easy to set up. You could also try a ****er pull.

Hmmm, I'm going to a spring fling this weekend. I'll check to see what games they have set up and get back to you.
