    Not Reporting Successes

Does anyone else not feel like telling parent when their child is having success with something, because you know they'll make too much of it and then stop working on the issue?

I feel like a jerk. But DCB who is currently being evaluated had a really good couple days using the token system we created for him and I have no intention of telling his mother. Even though I know she'd love this sort of news, because DCB is pretty much on the brink of being termed, but I cant risk it. She'll start getting lax with him, letting him slide with bad behaviors and...just no. I'll let her know once we have a little more of a pattern.

Tell me I'm not a horrible person.

NOPE...I do the same thing... I know if I tell them oh thing turned around they will stop backing me up and think that the "phase" or "issue" has been resolved.

I would just continue to work with dcb and if dcm asks just say we are working on it, hope you guys are still working on it too.
