    Need Advice About Term

I termed my first child this morning....now parents want refund. I was fed up with parents being inconsiderate of my time and thinking they run the show. My contract states I can term without notice..do I technically owe deposit back? I've been too nice and let them get over on me too much by coming a few minutes early and not charging late fees on many occasions, being late for pick up a few times, etc. I could get a list together of extra charges that I didn't charge out of courtesy. So pissed I'm having to deal with this!

I termed dcb, I wanted them to leave gave them deposit back so I didn't have to deal with them anymore. Clean break is the easiest sometimes.

It depends on how your contract reads. If it's tight then I'd tell dcps to reread their signed contract. If not, then probably just to avoid the risk of being brought to court I'd refund and get rid of them.

My contract is clear however I once refunded just so it was a clean break and I never had to see or hear from a family again.

My contract states I can end care immediately without refund for blatent disrespect to me or my family. That suffices in my book. Would it be inappropriate to send her a list of all the late charges that I could have charged but didn't? Or the holidays per my contract that I get paid for but didn't charge while I was out on leave last year out of courtesy because I knew they would have to pay for another provider?

I wouldn't mention the fees. That was your choice to not charge them.

My feelings too, plus it's all water under the bridge so to speak; different situations.
