Same clothes, two days in a row

Kid comes in one day in the pajama top they slept in, that's fine. Kid comes back the next wearing the exact same pajama top with food stains.....

I use to work at a center and our supervisors daughter was in my group she wore the same clothes for 3 days and hair style... Mom said a bath and changing wasn't worth the fight... 😁

I have one that is 4. He will wear the outfit here. Go play soccer in it. The. Sleep in it and wear it here again the next day. His ears have wax coming out into the curve of his ear. Mom will make comment I guess he needs a bath because I honestly can't remember the last time he had one. Sometimes I think she is joking but then again maybe not.

:dislike: I understand fighting kids to change clothes, wash faces/hands, and doing bath time is a huge pain in the butt sometimes. But - basic hygiene is kind of a necessity.

How busy can the parents life really be? I know everyone has struggles from time to time but there is no excuse for neglect. A child can be changed while sleeping. It takes 5 minutes. A bath every few days is another 20 minutes. What is going on in these peoples lives that they can't spare a few minutes for their children?

Sad that these parents aren't the only ones then. This family kills me because both parents are very looks oriented for themselves, just now for their kid.

This is gross. Sorry, gross. I keep a change of clothes on hand, and I would wash him up with a wet washcloth and change his clothes.

On Mondays we have Monday manicures. I trim finger and toe nails and clean ears. It seems to be rampant that parents don't do these things.

I have one who has never to my knowledge had his hair actually washed by his parents. They use dry shampoo and keep it short. It's GROSS. Instead of teaching him to overcome his fear of water, they played into it. In summer, I buy baby soap and shampoo and have them 'wash up' after playing outside, then go through the kiddie car wash until they're rinsed. At least everyone is bathed M-F in the stinky summer months.

One of my dcb has been wearing the same pair of socks all week! His feet stink! And he's only 3. Yuck!
One day dcm (of a different boy) let it slip that her kids are only bathed on Sundays.

While this is sad, there is not too much we can do about a child wearing the same clothing two days in a row. I have a dcm who is a social worker and she told me that unless it's for several days that the child is not bathed, then there is nothing to report. She said there is nothing harmful about wearing the same clothing for multiple days.

Not bathing for multiple days is neglect, it could lead to illness/virus and so on

I have a dcb who is almost 6 and he comes from kinder in the same clothing 2 days in a row, socks sometimes 3 days in a row and he smells so bad that the other kids are starting to notice. I just wrote mom a quick note saying..

DCK is getting older and more active, it's hard to hear, but the other kids are taking note that he doesn't smell very nice some days. Perhaps it would be a good idea to poke your head in while he showers to make sure he's using soap and cleaning well. DCK just might need a "mom" reminder....

dck comes from a split home and when with mom all is good now, can't say so much about when dck is with dad......can't win them all.
