I have a 3yr old dcg. Mom, dcg and grandma lived together. Dad in and out of jail. I guess dad is out now and mom and dad with dcg moved out of grandmas house and live in their own house. Mom barely works, so dcg just came 1 day a week. It's been rough, but she was adjusting very well for the most part. She would cry a bit in the morning at drop off, but would recoop well. Naptime was a struggle and that did get better. Now that mom, dad and her are living on their own, she cries non-stop for like 2 hours yelling for grandma. Last week it was horrible. From 9-about 11:30 that's all she did was throw a fit, cry, scream etc. She did take a good nap and then was pretty good after that. Grandma picked up and she looked at me and said I'm not coming back here. I thought good!!! Although even 1 day pay at $35 a day I really could use, it's just not worth it. I'm just wondering if she will show up Thursday or not. Will be interesting. If she does and she cries for more than 30 minutes, momma is gonna get a call.
Dreading this week

If any of you would let her come back, how long would you let her cry before calling mom to come and get her?- Flag

It really just depends on how bad I wanted to keep her. If you don't want to keep her in care, I wouldn't let her cry more than a half hour or so before I called.- Flag

I honestly need every single dime that I'm getting, but she is really bad. The kids walk around with their hands over their ears. ahhhhhh- Flag

Their parents are paying you to provide an environment that is safe and nurturing. Having to listen to someone cry excessively is terribly stressful.
My policies state that if a child cannot calm themselves and begin to participate as normal within 60 minutes, I call for pick up.- Flag

I made a promise years ago that I would never do that to other kids.
