    Tips

Does anyone have any tips to turns a bad day into a good one? Forgot to set alarm.. Woke up right at open luckily all my families were 10 mins late. Dog ran away. Still haven't found him. No caffeine left in my house. All out of my normal breakfast food (today is grocery shop night) my head is in a fog I have a splitting headache and it's raining. I want to go back to bed but I have a full house of kids. Help

Cut yourself some slack. We all have rough days now and again. Maybe pull out a game or toy the kids haven't seen in a while. It will seem like something fun & new. Put on some uplifting music, build a fort out of blankets & have each child pick a book to bring to the "camp out." Basically, relax & just have fun with them today. And remember that tomorrow is Friday!!!happyface

Agree with mamamanda...give yourself a goof-off day! Sorry about your morning...hang in there, you will survive! Pop a bunch of ibuprofen and pop in a movie.

I rarely do it, but once in awhile, if I am in a funk, we have a movie day. It is very rare, so the kids love it.

I'm getting through. We did free play, snack, playdoh, a puddle walk and now they are watching one show before lunch. Cannot wait till nap time though hoping for an hour of quiet.

I started doing a kid's yoga program with my dcks. They love it, and the added benefit is that I feel significantly more relaxed after doing it with them.

this is what I was going to suggest. we also do yoga, specially when i am not having a good day. Helps me let out stress and anything else pent up.

youtube has some fun ones and if you are an amazon prime member there are some fun ones on there too.

3 large deep breaths, my high school algebra teacher used this rule religiously before each test and amazingly Math is my strongest subject to this day. This was back in the early 80's
