    terming

I've been doing care for 8 months now, only 2 families. I'm at the end of my rope with one. The original hours were for an 8 hour day. They have crept up to 10 hour days. She doesn't pay extra, there's never any notice for when DCM will drop off or pick up. 3 months ago, I let her know that contracted times had to be stuck to. My dh was leaving country, & we have 7 kids. I cannot get everything done if she's not picking up til 6.
She of course said OK, but that lasted a week.
Now this week, she asked Tuesday if she could drop at 7 on wed. I said fine, woke up early, then she texts at drop off time, Appt, not coming til after, then it was just thing after thing, dragging out my whole day and he never showed.
Today she dropped off 40 min early again. And DCB had horrible diarrhea. I texted mom, that he was leaking out diapers, it took her 2 hours to respond, asking if she needed to get him. Then another 1.5 hours til she showed up.
I don't have a backbone at all with this, but I cannot deal any longer. What is the most non confrontational way to say, do not come back?

Give a term notice with your normal notice period so if it is two weeks, then give that. You really have to put your foot down, or people will walk all over you.

I struggle with this too. I am just a nice person but I finally termed a family today. Dcm was showing up past closing time in her pjs, paying late, and disappearing for a week at a time when she didn't have the money for child care. I drafted a termination letter and emailed the mother today. (She is currently on an absent because I can't pay streak and avoiding me ) If the mom shows, I would just hand her a term letter and let her know it isn't working out.
