    Ideas For Summer Outside Play

These are 2 of the pinterest ideas I want to do this summer. They look like fun and would keep my dcks occupied. I found another where you throw a rope over a branch, hook a bucket onto the end, then tie it down to a fencepost or something to keep it secured.

Any outdoor ideas you'd like to try or already are doing that are fun and different?

I've been wanting to do a balance like that one for ages. We should set up a do-those-pins support group and motivate each other to get it done! :-)

I just added the bucket/rope set-up a couple of weeks ago. The munchkins love it. The tricky part is finding the right bucket. The first one I tried was an old 5 gallon plastic bucket. It was was too heavy for my littlest ones to move even when it was empty.
Right now I have a cheapy plastic sandbox bucket. It is actually too light. If the munchkins pull it up empty, it gets stuck at the top! I need to look at the store for something in between.

I like the idea of the stepping stones roads! Thanks for sharing!

KSDC-that's what they said on the blog where I found the idea. The 5 gal. pail was too big, plastic was too light. I think what they ended up using was some kind of a metal bucket, from HD. I'm going this weekend and will pick up some of the stuff I need, including checking out buckets.
Gotta love my dcps. I received gift cards a couple years ago from HD and a local hardware store, both for Christmas gifts. I knew I was saving them for something.
