My Backpack is Too Heavy

I decided to walk my 4 year olds back from preschool today. I told dcb to put his jacket in his backpack since it is so beautiful today. He said that it would make his backpack too heavy. I took his bag to look at it and found a golf trophy. This was not some little kid lightweight trophy. It was a solid piece of metal. Why? Why did he need to bring a golf trophy?


That was a long walk.

No, not show and tell. He wanted to surprise my other dck with it. Not to give it to her, just to show it. So I guess he was thinking show and tell. Neither the preschool or I do show and tell. I need to let his mom know we are walking again on Thursday so they don't pack anything heavy.

It's amazing what kiddos will sneak into their backpacks! I have to clean out our 8 yr olds regularly or it gets full of junk - including pine car derby trophies.
