    Never had to term!

I have been open for 7 years and have never had to term anyone. I am 'full' at the moment, but keep getting calls for full time care. I am tempted to give a dcf that has one child here 2 days a week, my first 2 week notice ever. I have watched their child for 3 years now and the family is absolutely great! I have been hesitant to kick them out for a fulltimer, but it's very tempting. Half of me feels guilty that I am being greedy, looking at money I could be making. But then the other side is business wise, it makes sense because of the limited spaces available, to take fulltimers instead. I have not found anyone that needs the opposite 3 days of care in 3 years! I would hate to replace this wonderful family with a not-so wonderful family that would need to be termed and then I'm back to trying to fill the space from scratch. Any advice would be appreciated!!

I would offer the spot to the PT family. "I am no longer able to offer part time care. I need to know by ____date whether you would like to take the available full time spot, or whether you will be finding a new provider". There is probably a better way to word it...but that is the basics

I AM I this for the money so I would offer the PT family the opportunity to go full time and if they decline, I'd tell them sorry but I have a FT family interested in space and I will need to go with what ever situation nets me the most income.

Most parents do whatever they can to cut back their expenses and daycare is usually the first thing they cut back on so why can't providers do the same thing without feeling guilty for not putting the kids (someone else's kids at that...) first?
