I have a child sized table like this in my playroom along with plastic chairs in a few different heights. Great for eating, crafts, cleans up well, etc. https://www.schooloutfitters.com/cat...62&CAGPSPN=pla

I don't even have a highchair - I have an infant rocker/seat for babies and then one of those seats that clips onto the above table for when they are old enough to sit up all the way.

I also have both, so I know what you're saying. My adult dining table and chairs are always gross!

Once we move into the new place, I will have my full-time preschool sized table back. For my youngest ones, I use clip on chairs until they are ready for the preschool chairs. Depends on the kid, but I've started them there as young as 14 months.

The clip on chairs I got are really old (I bought them off craigslist or Ebay), and aren't made anymore. I like them because the child can't push themselves off the table. Once they are in big chairs, they can.

If you're buying a table, find a heavy one! If it's too light, they'll push the table around. PITA!

I have a dedicated space for child care and I love the child sized table my husband built that he basically built by looking at a picture of an Ikea table. I have the cute Ikea chairs with the animal imprint on the back. I have all red ones. I also have one low plastic chair with the arms at the side that I got by default, but love for a child around 14 months.

If i had the space I'd have a low table if I had to be in the main part of my house. I'd hate to have kids at my dining room table!

I have booster seats for my dining room table and a folding kids picnic table with benches for the kids. The picnic table isn't up right now because the older ones outgrew it and the babies aren't out of high chair stage yet. When they grow out of it I'll get it back out.

I have seen dc use child size picnic table. I use booster at the table for main meals. Dcg was to young and would not stay at little table.
For a little table I have a few. One is a Elmo table the seats 2 little tikes chairs, that is in playroom for them to play at. The other ones are four leg end tables that I got at menards about 7 years ago. They are small but seat two each comfortable. Out is good place to set their cups during the day so they have easy access to them.

I use 2 of these with extra chairs in my kitchen.
They are very sturdy, and for the younger ones I attach a booster seat onto it. And even though I still have my adult size table, me and my family use these to sit at more than the adult one
