This is what I worry about. This is why I put in a little effort, meaning nicer jeans and a nice top. Though both my "work" jeans just busted holes through at the same time, so until I get all this months paychecks deposited and buy some new ones I am looking a little more casual than usual

I also worry about how my kids look. I let them dress themselves (3 and 5) but I dress the 18m still. I worry if they look sloppy or what not people will think it is lack of care or ability on my part. But I also won't make my child my doll for the sake of appearance. Its a hard balance.

I think how a person dresses impacts how they feel about themselves and therefore how they act.

I can do my job naked but I wouldn't feel as professional enforcing my rules that way.
I have to agree. I don't get "dressy" per se- just jeans and a polo shirt. But I am presenting an image to DCPs, people outside the program who see me, and myself. It doesn't hurt to get dressed up a bit and if it gets stained/torn/ worn out, well that's why I shop at goodwill.

I like to wear lightweight comfy jeans, khaki's, or cargo pants (lightweight cargo pants are really comfortable, & look fairly good). Walking shorts or Capri pants in the summer. I wear nicer women's T's, comfy cotton tops ( all bought on clearance). like Black Cat said, I've never had anything ruined. It all washes fine. Washable paint actually comes out.

I do my hair but it's an easy to style bob. I wear a bit of make up. I wear yoga pants maybe once a month. It always feels cozy, but after a few hours I feel like I'm in my pajamas!

For awhile I did wear leather flats for shoes, but they did get worn out fast. Must be I'm on my feet so much. I have to wear shoes inside. I'm always stepping in a bit of food, water, splatter of milk, etc. and then my socks would be wet...ick!! I've gone to slip on Sketchers. They are lightweight, hold up and look decent.

When I worked at centers I hated company polo shirts or company T-shirts that were men style t's. I like women's T's. When interviewing for one center and learned you could wear their cute women's T's with their logo or any shirt of your own that was green I was elated! I did work there for awhile.
