sorry that song from men at work has been stuck in my head all day...
Well what could it be now...I have a dck who will be 4 in May start pooping pants here and at home. DCK has also started having really and I mean REALLY bad behavior. Hitting, hurting, pushing, and refusal to listen.
I don't tolerate this kind of behavior at all, especially from a kid this age and size.
The child is very behind developmentally in many way and has yet to pass an DRDP or ASQ...The child is normally very sweet and listens quite well. Parents have followed up with eval with doc, but doc just chalks it up to her being very immature for her age. I agree with some of that, but I honestly believe she has some kind of processing disorder as she CANT do most things we ask her no matter how we ask. Simple things like put your shoes in your box.
I talked to dcp who said nothing has changed at home, but they are also seeing the same thing at home with the poop accidents and behavior.
I don't know what in the world to do. I have observed for over a week now and can't find what is causing or triggering this behavior at all. Yesterday for the first time in years i had to raise my voice at dck when she attempted to hurt another child much smaller than them. the thing that is frustrating me is that
1. child does not care that they hurt someone
2. laughs when it happens
3. is talking back to all staff
4. I can't figure out what is causing this....
