Please give me advice on how you woukd handle a constantly sick child. I am a new provided and I don't know the best way to handle this.I have a dcg that I have been watching for 7 months now. She was fine when she started but in November last year she got the flunch and has never been the same. Every week there is something wrong with her. Last week she had a stomach virus (which my 10 month old ended up getting) she has had a few upper respiratory infections and always seems sick. She always has tons of green snot comit from her nose and she has the cough of an 80 year old smoker. I told the dcm that the dcg is sick and needs to see a doctor and that her daughter is not eating like she use to, she cries a lot while sleeping because she cannot breath or because of the coughing and the dcm says I know I need to take her to the doctor but she does not. She has taken her to the hospital a few times which is how I know about the stomach virus and upper respiratory infections. She just brings her the next day/week and says dcg is sneezing now or has a bad cough or whatever the symptom is. Since this little girl is a toddler she puts every thing in her mouth and I am tired of her getting others sick (especially my kids). How do I handle this?

I had a dcg that was constantly congested and phlegmy, and when her family moved from one apartment to another they discovered large sheets of mold growing on the walls. Once they were in a mold free home, her congestion completely cleared up. If it's an allergy, perhaps her parents would consider trying an antihistamine for a week and seeing if there's a difference?- Flag
