    Sharing My Excitement!

My dishwasher went out in November/December and hubs is replacing it today!!
I can't even tell you how happy this makes me.
I have 10 here full time. 30 meals a day plus my own family.
    I'm over the moon happy.

    great!happyfacehappyface

When my 3yr old dishwasher went out, all hubby did was disconnect the circuit board and put it back in place..it would have cost me $250 just for parts, plus the service call
We are convinced, that some appliance s are pre set to need service after so long

      Nice!!!happyface

The rack on our dishwasher broke a few months ago. Thanks to Youtube I fixed it myself. But the day or so waiting for parts was awful. Can't imagine going months.

Lol. This poor thing is about 5 yrs old. Soap thing broke around yr one. Top rack about yr 3. Finally it stopped filling w water so I used an electric kettle for a time. Lol. Finally gave up and have been using it as a drying rack for months. We had some bills to pay off and I wasn't using bill money for frivolous. Lol. Our school uses a scrip program where you buy gift cards through them and a percentage of the face value goes to the students band account.
It's hoe I do all my shopping. 3% at Walmart, like 9% at family video. 13% at some places. I buy cards for all my gas, groceries, eating out, car parts, etcetera. Everything I can. I've been buying $25 lowes gift cards every two weeks. Lol. And finally have enough saved back for it. It's a fantastic program and I earn $500-700 a yr doing it that pays for marching fees, trip fees, competition fees, it's awesome. It's money I'm spending anyway. I might as well get something out of it.

I have a dishwasher, but have never used it once...

              it uses too much water.

what kind did you get? does it save water? I keep thinking of looking for one like this.

Well. We were going shopping after dinner. Ha!
It's 1037pm and I just scraped our planned dinner in trash. Rinsed out cereal bowls that we had and am heading to bed.
16 ur old was using mandolin slicer making dinner and we just got home from ER. Hey index finger.
We tried for 2hrs to get it to stop bleeding. Had a cousin (ER nurse) come over. Tried everything in her little bag of tricks. Ended up going to ER and they cleaned it. Put a pressure wrap thing on her and some clotting agent.
She's in so much pain. It throbs.
She said "mom. It has a heartbeat."
I said "who are you? Buddy the elf?"
All kidding aside, wow. Lots of blood. Burnt dinner (gosh I hope no one expected me to close because of the smoke, ) and cold cereal for supper. Super fun.

So I wait until next week for hubbys day off.

What is mandolin slicer? Maybe I can see it/them online?

Sorry I had to laugh at the smoke comment. I remember that post.

                    Hope everyone is ok.

It's this slicer you run the veg back and forth on. Makes very thin slices of everything. Think giant razor blade.
