I have a 1 year old dcb that tells me no all the time and yells at me. I am constantly telling him not to yell, and have had to crack down on the "no" too because now he has all the 1 and 2 year olds telling me no when they don't like what I say. Dcb is an only child for a few more months, and I am pretty sure he runs the show at home. He is a snot. I know he is 1, but he is a SMART 1. He knows exactly what he is saying. I am wondering if there is a way to deter him from doing so.
Second issue, I have an almost 3 year old who has to be changed every 1.5 hours or he pees thru his diaper. He fills his diapers to the MAX and if I wait for longer than 1.5 hours he leaks all over. I do scheduled diaper changes every 3 hours for the non-infants. He is almost 3!!! I asked mom about it and she said he has always peed that much. COuldn't that be a warning sign for diabetes? Seems like I read that. It is a complete pain. And he lies when he poops, always blames it on everyone else! UGH!
I have a different 1 year old who is biting. He grabs other kids by the shoulders and bites their backs. I put him in time out and tell him no bite, but within minutes of him being out of time out he is back to it again. I keep an eagle eye on him, so I can usually catch him before he bites, but on the way to biting. Is this just a phase and I will just have to keep doing what I am doing? Or is there a way to keep him from doing this?
I have just come to the conclusion that boys are trouble! LOL! They are crazy! Even the little 1 and 2 year olds are constantly wrestiling! I have 2 boys myself, and they aren't anything like these guys! HELP!
