Cori Question

Here regs say we have to have everybody who is 15yrs and older who resides in the household, or will be a frequent visitor to the child care Cori checked.

I only get the Cori checked information, and have the Cori checks done when licensing sends me the information for my license renewal.

My daughter is turning 15yrs, but I'm not due for relicensing for another 2 an a half yrs. Do I need to get her Cori checked now, or only when I'm relicensing?

Check with your licensing, but I would say now.

I would guess that the cori should be done as soon as she turns 15 but you could check with your licensor to be sure.

A Cori is a Criminal Offender Record Information. It's a way to check to see if a person has any criminal background.

For us if a child turns 18 and will still be living in the home then you must have the background check done , no matter when the lic visit will be . My lic specialist made a point to tell me to ask for the paperwork a few weeks before my dd turns 18 so I can have it completed within the time frame .

I would think it would be the same for you , it will need to be done when she turns 15 and not when you re-lic.

That makes sense. Ours is called limited criminal history check. For me, I have it done before my lic visit when they are 18. But those are indiana rules.
