Illness policy - help with wording please

In my illness policy I have it written:

"In some instances when children become ill I may request you to procure a note from your child’s doctor stating that they are not contagious and it is safe for them to return to daycare."

I want to add that although I may require a doc's note, I get the final say on whether a child can attend or not - regardless of what the doc not says. How do I word this?

....and then, I will make the final decision on their return to care.

My illness policy states that "in some instances a Physician's note maybe required". Then on that form it says:

"Based on the physician's diagnosis, I will determine if your child will be allowed to return to care.

Please do NOT ask the physician to make that decision as I am responsible for the health and safety of the children in enrolled in my program"
