Seriously? How Do You Keep 1 And 2 Year Olds From Being Loud?!

I struggle keeping them quiet when the babies are sleeping. I have two sleeping and I have 3 kids up and they have to YELL everything!!!! I have had them in time out over and over but they just can't seem to understand quiet. If they wake the colicky baby, I am going to go insane!!! Any ideas?

Here I don't. I let them make noise. My babies either sleep thru it or don't nap. I'm wondering if your colicy baby has something else going on? I would try to sooth and then put him to nap in another room. Ivenever had a colic baby though. I've always been able to find the cause of the crying,... I know my day is coming, I just have been lucky. I don't make kids stay quiet for napping babies though. I just make the babies adjust

This. It's also why nappers have their own room and I use white noise (a CD of radio static, up loud enough to drown out most incoming noise). The kids all sleep well here; so well the parents are always amazed.

I really think that your colicky one (this is the 8 month old, right? Or is that someone else?) has something else going on that needs looked into. The parents need to get him to the doctor and start figuring it out. 8 month olds should NOT have colic.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Whether he has something going on or not, when he sleeps that time is PRECIOUS!!! I would love to not worry about him waking up, but I have to or the rest of my day is pure hell.

My son had colic for a year. All colic is is enexplained fussiness. So whatever caused it, it happens. I had my son to the doc over and over and even saw specialists. No findings. He is a happy and healthy 9 year old now. So who knows what was going on.
