Q about Food Program and breastfeeding

I just had my son in January. With the increase in family size, I think my own children will be eligible for reimbursement. I know that if a dcFamily is bringing breastmilk, we get paid.
Do I get paid for giving my own child breastmilk?
My sponsor said she didnt think so but wasnt sure, but I have a friend in another state who did get paid for it.

If you can get reimbursed for feeding your own kids, it SHOULD apply to all situations.

I thought so, as well.
I have a friend in a different state who was reimbursed for breastfeeding her son. Thrusday, my food program people came by, and I asked her a question about adding my own children. She said that the older ones were not a problem, but she wasn't sure about my newborn. She even said that if he were a dcFamily's son, it would definitely be able to be reimbursed.
If she comes back with a 'no', I might check out a different sponsor and see if I get a different answer.

On Page 27 of the CACFP handbook it states:

"However, a day care provider who nurses her own infant may claim reimbursement for the meal as long as she is otherwise eligible to claim reimbursement for meals and snacks served to her own child"

Like any other meal/snack, as long as other children are present and eating during the claimed meal/snack you are providing for your own infant you ARE eligible to claim your infant.

"However, a day care provider who nurses her own infant may claim reimbursement for the meal as long as she is otherwise eligible to claim reimbursement for meals and snacks served to her own child"

Like any other meal/snack, as long as other children are present and eating during the claimed meal/snack you are providing for your own infant you ARE eligible to claim your infant.

.....I was eligible to claim my two youngest, and did claim my son while I was nursing.
