    Paid Advertising

Have any of you paid to advertise? Or have a permanent ad up?

I am listed here on daycare.com, but there are only 3 other providers for my area listed not sure if that means my odds are higher of it helping me or if it means people in my state don't use it?

I have a ksl listing (like local craigslist)

And I just paid to promote my page on FB. Has anyone had success with that? I like that it was $5 a day and I chose to run it for a week. So, it was within a realistic budget for me. I like feeling like I am "doing" something , but it might be a waste.

There are some larger daycare that have ads everywhere, I am assuming because they have a large budget/turnover but I want people to know I am here...

    Thoughts? Experience? Great brownie recipe?

We paid the facebook $5/day thing too, on Feb 1st, and ran it for one day: a photo that said we have excellent infant care and two openings.
It got many more 'likes' than usual.
And we interviewed three families the following week and are enrolling two of them this week.
However! We also shared the post on our own pages, had a craigstlist ad up, and told all of our families to spread the word.
So no telling for certain if it helped or not

I spent a total of $35 before I pulled my 2 ads... got a total of 11 likes that was it, no interviews or even inquiries. I don't think it was worth it ; I also posted it in CL ad and had parents spread the word.

Thanks for the reply. I got 8 new like to my fb page in 2 days, so I think that is worth it. I have gotten one call from it so far, that lead to an interview. I think I will run it the rest of the week.

It is hard to track where interest comes from. I try to remember to ask where they heard of me, but I often forget.
