Oh, my goodness, you saved my sanity. For years, I've had a lovely nap routine. Dark room, and I sing lullabies or read poetry or sometimes we listen to recorded lullabies. But this winter, nap has NOT been working. I was about to lose it. Then I decided to try the fan several of you mentioned. I have a really loud annoying one. I set it up, and was sad not to be singing to them as I usually do. And several kids complained that it was too loud to sleep. But then they ALL went to sleep. For several days in a row. Ahhhh..... I can be nice and calm again. Thank you.
Thank You, Nap-Time Fan Users!

I use a fan, it's an old model table top version that my dad had when he got out of the navy in the 70's so it is the UGLIEST thing in the world. It's metal and sssssoooooooo loud! I hide it when nap is over. All my newbies complain, too. But they all sleep.
happyface for you!- Flag

I use a fan at every nap too! They fall asleep quicker and I also notice they don't wake up by the noise I make cleaning up during nap time.:happyface- Flag

I use a hepa air filter during nap and it sounds like a fan. Works wonders. I've had to move to a noise machine until my QRIS surprise inspection is over. I'm sure they would say a sleeping child would get tangled in the cord I have all zip tied up.- Flag
