    Voucher Questions for Indiana

    Hello Everyone!

I'm new here, though I have lurked around for awhile. I am currently watching two children out of their house. The mother is a single mother and asked me to apply for a license so she can get assistance. I agreed to do and she gave me a number to call. When I called the number the lady asked me a series of questions to see what packet of information she needed to send me. I didn't qualify to care for children out of my apartment because I live on the third floor (which is fine). I told her I watch the kids at my clients house. She said "oh, then you would qualify for a nanny packet". Then she asked me how many kids am I caring for and I told her two. Well, then she said in order for me to apply for the nanny packet, that my client needs to have three kids! I thought that was weird. Anywho, I called back the next day to order the nanny packet to fill out. Once I received it, I read everything very carefully and it doesn't mention anything about the parent needing to have 3 kids to qualify for assistance. I'm so confused can anybody explain this to and and help shed light on this. Thank you so much.

Not really familiar with ccdf or nanny situations, but I did see this in the ccdf policy manual:

    page 117:

    IN-HOME CARE REQUIREMENTS
An Applicant or Co-Applicant may be eligible for Nanny Care, however, certain conditions apply.
    3.10.1 IN-HOME CARE REQUIREMENT POLICY
An Applicant is eligible for in-home care when at least three (3) CCDF
Household members are eligible for child care assistance unless otherwise
    approved by the Office.

In addition to the above, to be eligible for in-home care, the Applicant, Co-Applicant and Inhome
provider must meet Provider Eligibility Requirements.

    hope that helps!
