    Wasting Time...

    When I should be doing paperwork or lesson planning...

    I made a playlist on Spotify for the end of the day. It is all songs with a "goodbye" theme. If I start it at 3:30 it plays until 5:10. The last 2 songs are "Hit the Road Jack" and "Happy Trails". I am way too pleased with myself.

    How did you procrastinate today?

    That is hilarious! About 1-2 times a week the kids actually nap at all once. I get a good hour, sometimes two! It all depends on the 8 month old. I always tell myself I will do my food program, attendance, invoicing, yada yada. And today I ended up watching an episode of Downton Abbey on my iPad with headphones.

      haha proud of you! :: Sometimes you just need to recharge! My youngest dck is turning one this week and is finally napping at the same time as everyone else. Its the first time I have had a real break in 9 months! So I am being super indulgent during naps as it is a new luxury for me ::

        That's funny!!::

        I had the day off and promised myself I'd work on taxes all day. I slept in, did laundry, played on the computer, ran a couple of errands and read some books on my Kindle. Never touched a tax receipt all day.

          I get 1.5-2 solid hours a day when the kids are napping. I'm so exhausted from my fibromyalgia I end up just sitting on the couch messing around on my laptop.

              Lately my "down time activity of choice" has been sewing patches on my poor daughter's brownie vest. I'm the leader so she's earned everything...but has the barest vest. Ooops!

              Love the playlist thing, that's too funny.

                Oh goodness, if my dd had patches needed sewn I would never get it done! Making a note to discourage her from such activities

                      I've done ironing and glue of several kinds before settling on sewing..nothing else held long term. I like sewing, it's kind of cathartic and soothing.

                          I've considered offering that as a service to the other parents in the troop. Fifty cents a patch and I'll sew it on. But then....I notice that it takes me most of a Gilmore Girls episode to sew some of these on...and I reconsider...

                            Once I got to be about 8, my mom taught me how to sew them on myself. Then she never had to do it again. ::
