Just wondering who is open and who is closed this Monday. I have always used Christmas Eve as a holiday and not MLK, but now I'm regretting it. I could really use that time to get stuff done and all of my parents are off. I sent out an email saying that if you want to spend time with your child on that day you can take that day off (unpaid) without it deducting from vacation time. Two of my families took the bait, but I have not heard from my other two families (both of which are teachers so I know the time is off
).
Next year I'm definitely adding that to my holidays off because I've come to the point in my life where I must face the fact that it irks me when I have only one child in my care on a holiday because the parents "need" time to themselves or because they "can't" get anything done with their child.
Alright, yes, this is definitely more of a rant than a question.
