Advice on What to Do First?

    Hi all,

Ok my family and I have made the decision to start at home daycare, and taken your advice, I've looked at my states requirements (New Jersey) I understand if over 3 kids but no more than 5, I have to register and my question. Do go through all of these steps first then get clients or get clients first? Because in my research it mentioned an inspection and looking at children's ages etc. So, I'm confused what steps to take first. Thank you all for your help!

I would get all situated first before taking any kids. You might decide to start advertising since it takes a while sometimes to get kids, but let them know the start date will be once you are all situated and give them a date (if possible).

I wouldn't want to have kids here if I wasn't ready, it might give you the wrong idea about daycare if you are not prepared yet, kwim?

I am in MA and or regulations are different. I can not care for any child that isn't family with out being licensed.
