I didn't think it was interesting at all, honestly. It was written like a high school paper that someone crunched in the night before it was due. There was pretty much no useful information what-so-ever.

Not picking on you at all Sharlan.

My first thought was 'crap, there goes my pay-for-52-weeks-a-year' policy I just got the courage up to institute. Hopefully nobody reads the article.

I didn't find anything out of the ordinary about the article.

Most of it is just recycled info you find on all daycare/child care sites that offer tips to parents.

As a parent searching for care, I'd consider all of those things as they definitely work in favor of the parent.

Of course as a provider on the other end of the financial equation, I don't offer much of what the article says to look for but it doesn't bother me as most my families are okay with my operational methods.

If they aren't that's A-ok....there are programs out there that meet everyone's needs.

Around here, parents have been requesting all of those discounts for years.

prospective clients always ask if my prices are negotiable. I used to cut single moms a break until I realized two were making way more than me. The other single mom paid me less than anyone else, I had her kid more hours than anyone else and the poor little dude was the most work. I am a essential bread winner for my family. No more deals. But they always ask.
