I've been caring for a DCB for 4 months now. DCPs are very nice, but are first time parents, and have the best, happiest, smartest baby ever...(rolling eyes...those kind of parents) My problem is that they won't attempt to get him on a schedule at all...sleeps and wakes whenever...****les a bottle all day...only feeds him orange baby food...because this is what he wants (Says the DCPs) I can't get him to eat more than 2 ounces at a time, and that takes nearly 30 mins because he won't keep latched on to the bottle. (Nipple size is heavy flow...he just wants to mess with the bottle or look around the room) It's never taken me longer than 2 months to get an infant on the schedule here, but the parents won't get on board because they don't want to upset him
He's pretty fussy here because I try to stick to our schedule and can't feed and hold him non stop, as I have other children that require my attention too. Should I hold out and hope this gets better as he gets older, or just part ways with the family?
