How Do You Deal w/ Kids Hurting Each Other?

If a dck hurts another dck do you always tell the parents? I am mostly talking about minor things like scratches and such.

I feel like there is a thin line with not sounding too negative about the child all of the time. Parents obviously don't want to hear anything bad about their precious children.

If it resulted in marks being left then yes...I would tell them.

I would not allow it to continue. the victims parents will leave if I keep letting dcks hurt each other.

It doesn't happen here often, but the few times it does I tell the parent. I don't care if they don't want to hear it. I'm over that nonsense.

I guess it depends on the age, too. Obviously, if it's something that leaves a mark, I tell both parents without naming names (but they always know anyway).

My oldest two kids just turned two, so there is a lot of pushing and pulling some days. I don't mention that, unless someone is having a particularly bad day, in which case I say "he had a rough morning, and there was a lot of pushing", just an FYI.

The one dude I have here that gets like that (one of the new-2's) gets a reprimand from his dad for it every time. The kid probably doesn't remember even doing it, but he still gets a "I don't want to hear that you are pushing" stern face dad. happyface
