    Why?

Why do daycare parents think it's ok to drop their kid off two hours early because we close early today??? I said oh your early and she replied I forgot to tell you I was bringing him early today. Umm no you forgot to ASK me if you could bring him early.

I don't know, but did you take the child? If you did, she's going to think that it's okay to do that in the future. I would have said absolutely not, I'll see you in 2 hours.

Actually, I wouldn't have said anything because if you show up 2 hours before you're supposed to be here, I'm still in bed and my doors are locked. Even if I was awake, the front door is locked at all times (learned my lesson on that one when a family let herself in and sat in my living room for 10 minutes while I was napping before my hubby came home and woke me up to tell me she was here!) and you can knock and pound as hard as you want, I'm not opening the door until it's time for your child to be here. And you'll get sick of listening to my great dane bark louder than you can knock

I would make sure you tell her in the future that just because you close early does NOT mean that you open early, and that you expect her child to be here at the regular time unless previous PERMISSION has been given by YOU.

Because you allowed it? They would have been turned away at the door here. Contracted hours for a reason.
