Wish Me Luck! Any Words Of Advice??

Maybe I have a death wish, I'm not sure! This morning I've decided to take 5 kids ages 2-5 to the movies to see Tangled!! The local movie theatre has a special of $3 for the first showing of every movie M-F, so I guess that's why I've decided to do it. Two of these kids have NEVER been to a movie theatre, so that's the other reason! I think it will go alright b/c this is a good bunch of kids, we'll see!
    Any words of advice???

Did you smuggle a bottle of wine in one of the diaper bags? If so then Id say youre good to go and should have a GREAT time

      LOL!!!
Really though, my youngest is my own and is almost 3. He does great at the movies as we've taken him several times. The two who've never been are 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 and are normally pretty well behaved. The other two are almost 5 and almost 6 and they are both pros at the movies. It's just the idea that I will be the only adult with 5 young children, expecting them to sit still for over an hour... kind of scary!! Hopefully they really love the movie and be happy watching the whole thing!

I think you're crazy. Why are you taking kids under 5 to a PG movie? Personally I don't think kids under 5 should be in a movie theater at all.

              Advice.....Take HELP!!!!

Since it is PG, I hope you have permission slips from the parents to take them. Wouldn't want it to come back and bite you if someone has bad dreams or picks up something the parents don't like.

I wish my DS would sit still for longer then a meal so we could go to the movies. Hes 17 months and so hyper that if we are out and dinner is done we have to leave rightthatsecond or he starts to fidget and throw a fit. Have fun and good luck!

Yes, I got permission from the parents to take them. They are thankful that I am willing to take them and paying for it!

Crazy, but awesome! Okay, and I'm jealous--because if I had the capability to take the kids anywhere, I'd be a much saner/happier person!

Tangled was a great movie--I'm shocked it's PG. I took DD to see it and didn't think it was scary at all. She loved it and keeps asking to go back (she's 3). She sat there absolutely enthralled the whole time.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I agree that you are crazy. I've done it before with 4 kids and it was a challenge but we made it through. The only problem is that if one kid needs to go out for any reason (bathroom, popcorn, fussiness, etc.) you have to take EVERYONE because you can't leave any of them unattended. THAT was the biggest hassle of all.

Tangled is a great movie and not scary at all. Good luck and have fun. Let us know how your adventure turns out.

Good Luck and have fun!!!...outings are always a blast because they are out of the normal routine. I took 8 kids ages 2-4 and one 15 month old to our county fair this summer and we had a blast!!!! I did this alone and with no help. We walked through all the animal barns and viewed the exhibits and then bought corndogs, chips and water and sat on the hill and ate our lunch while watching all the fair activities! It was great!!
I am looking forward to seeing Tangled myself because it looks very funny! Give us an update when you get back!!
