I had a squealer too! Let me tell you it lasted for no more than 3 days.

Everytime she squealed that high pitch way, I put her in the playpen and closed the door. When she stopped I would bring her out. If she did it again, she would sit in the playpen again with the door closed. She figured it out fast. She was only 11mths at this point.

I've had her since August, and she has not done it a single time since. Even her parents said she stopped doing it at home too (they hated it).

I plan on doing this as well. I start a 14 month old girl in 2 weeks, that has never been to a daycare. Her Grandma has always watched her. Her Mom wanted to stay for awhile everyday for a week or two to get her child used to coming here!! I told her it is best, if you just drop her off, she will stop crying after you leave, if she doesn't I will try everything to get her to stop! I have had way too many parents think that this will work, and it only makes life miserable for me, the other children, and the child!! UGHHH!!!! I hope it goes good!!
