My 4 year old daycare boy puked all over himself and my livingroom today. He acted fine all day (9 hours) then all of a sudden with no i don't feel good or anything he exploded. Called mom for pickup and she cracked a joked about how he only pukes here and never has for her at home. Is it wrong of me to charge a clean up fee because it was horribly gross as we had chicken Parmesan today and of course it was sooo messy and hard to clean. Do any of you charge a clean up fee for these situations?
Ugh yuck!

I can't imagine charging for that, as nice as it would be! I don't really see child care moving to the 'airline mode', charging for so-called 'extras' like luggage & fuel, though it has long been my dream to get my hands on a sanitation worker's child :: and charge a heavy lifting fee, a solid waste disposal fee, etc.

other wise, I think it's part of the job. I can't tell you how many times I have had to clean vomit up in the last 12 years.- Flag
