DCB is having an endoscopy next week. I don't know that mom will bring him back, but I need to be prepared just in case. If he has it in the morning, would you let him come back for the afternoon? I don't know anything about them but want to be ready.
Daycare after Endoscopy

No. I'd say they need to be out all day. They are sedated for it, and I would not want a kid here with those drugs in their system.- Flag

I would say make sure Mom understands she needs to be out the whole day. Once anesthesia wears off DCB is going to be sore and crabby and needs 1on1 care. Plus there is always the outside chance of a complication from anesthesia or the scope showing up a few hours later.- Flag

I would say no. DH has had a few endoscopies and he is always out of it for the remainder of the day while the anesthesia works its way out of his system.
Also, something to consider is there is always a risk of an infection after an endoscopy. You have to watch for a fever and they can sometimes spike very quickly. After DH's second endoscopy he got a fever and jumped from normal to 103 in about an hour. Turned out some fluid had gotten into his lungs from the procedure and it turned into pneumonia. He was hospitalized for 4 days because of it.- Flag

I would also say no . But be sure to let dcm know ahead of time so she does not try to bring him anyway ,and this way she can't say she did not know .- Flag
