    However long it takes them to drive from wherever they are at when I call them. If they can't come immediately, I have their list of backups that I start contacting

      If it's an hour from here to work, then they get a hour to arrive unless they have someone on the list that's closer

        An hour and a half. But I live in a small city (people often work outside of the city) and lots of people don't have cars. They ars supposed to come right away, but htey must get here within 90 minutes.

          I give one hour. It is written in my contract. After 1 hour I start calling emergency contacts. Of course if there are extenuating circumstances I can make an exception.

              I have never had to put a time limit on picking up a sick kid but I would say within the hour, an hour and 1/2 max.
