    OT: Recomendations

    Good morning,

I really should just go ahead and register since I've bene lurking around lately for advice. You ladies (and gentlemen) have given me excellent advice on several things so far.

Anyway, my question today doesn't really have anything to do with daycare, but I thought this might be the best place to ask. I am looking to purchase an otoscope for home use. The reason for this is that we would like to be able to catch ear infections early. My son has a suspected penicillin allergy so if we can catch them before they get too bad we have more options to treat. And having one at the house will save us a trip to the Dr's office every time he touches his ear (something that he's been slightly obsessed with lately). Do you have any suggestions? I'm currently looking at the Dr. Mom brand third-gen with the LED light. Has anyone used this? I'm not really wanting to spend too much (i.e. I don't want or need a version that would be found in a doctor's office). Bonus points if it's something that can be ordered from Amazon and shipped with a bigger order. Thanks in advance!

I have one. I think it's braun brand. No matter how many times I try, I can't tell if there's an infection. I have a dcm that's a doctor so if there's any doubt, I pull it out and she peaks at my dd ears for me,
