    snow pants vs regular pants

Question for you ladies- when would you have all your kids don snow pants versus their regular pants they have on? There is a little snow on the ground here still, but its all packed down and not enough to make much of a mess. Being almost 7 months pregnant, getting 6 kids into full snow gear is extra tough and I'm debating if we should just go out since it's going to be warmer today (25 degrees now) and it's not too messy. It hasn't snowed since last Monday WWYD?

I put their snow pants on for warmth, not just snow. I would have them in snow pants at 25 degrees, or we might stay in. Here we don't HAVE to go outside in the winter, depending on the weather. If it's too cold we can stay in and have extra music and movement or some other type of physical activity. Outside is preferred, but not always doable in the winter, especially with infants.

I don't have regulations for weather (license exempt) and parents know we plan to go out every day unless a temperature advisory. The DCKs are all almost 2, so not too young- they all run around outside, no non -walkers who have to just sit. It's a sunny 30 degrees without much wind, so I decided Im not doing snow pants. (Its the wind chill that makes the decision for me really!) The littles can stay on the cement with toys and don't need to be in te snow if they don't want to

Snow pants are required here (my rules) for any temp below freezing.

I too put snow pants on for warmth, not so much for th snow factor. Plus whether there's 1 inch of snow, or 50, it melts and gets wet and everyone will have wet and cold pants.
