Haha! I have a dcm that is always texting me asking "what do you call quesidillas? What do you call veggie burgers? What do you call broccoli? " my answer is "quesidillas, veggie burger and brocoli. " She thinks the reason dcg is not eating these foods at home are because she is calling it by the wrong name????
Dcg eats her veggies and fruit and meat for me. Dcm swears she won't eat things due to texture or smell or the name she gives it I guess!

LOL! Happens here, too! I have three kids enrolled who are plate cleaners and seconds of veggies always here. At home, they won't touch a veggie. I think it's a combination of having more say/control at home, and the parents PUSHING it so much that it becomes a power struggle.

I don't push it. You eat what you eat. Rarely have issues with picky eaters.

I think it also helps that the kids see others eating their veggies, so they do it, too. Same goes for nap time here. I have parents who swear up and down their children will never nap, and I have no issues getting them to take 2+ hour naps every day they are in my care.
