Pool Table in Daycare area

Does anybody have a pool table in their daycare space? How do you work around it?

We have a slate one so we can't really move it. We were thinking about putting a protective board on top and turning it into a train table. Although that may present another problem because the kids will have to have little stools to stand on to play with/watch the train.

How much clearance do you have underneath it? If enough space I would make a tent/ cozy corner out of it-cushions, pillows, books, big stuffed animals. Maybe put in couple of taplights for reading lights. Make a cover that hangs to the floor that looks like a circus tent and leave one side fastened open.
