Do Your DC Kids Sleep More In The Winter?

We just had our first snowfall and all the kids are going on 2+ hour naps. It's unusual. This is my first fall/winter with dc kids. Last Spring was cold, but most of the snow was gone and I only had a few kids then.

Not unless they have colds. Usually they sleep more in the warmer months when we are more active.

Our little ones have been sleeping 2+hours too! But I think they might be fighting off a cold that some got recently.

Mine sleep more in the summer but if it's a cold, dark stormy day in a warm cozy room they will all snuggle down and sleep for longer. My average napper sleeps 2.5+ hours in the summer and 2ish hours in the winter.

All depends on how much outside time they get, imho.

Lots of fresh air + nice warm lunch + dark room= good nap.

I've noticed the first few weeks of winter they tend to sleep a bit more, then it returns to normal. Maybe it's because I tend to do more gross motor stuff inside with kids since we're not outside as much.
