Yeah, I Get To Spend The Day Sanitizing

I sent my dcb home on Thursday for throwing up. (of course he threw up on the sofa that I had professionally cleaned on Wed) He didn't come yesterday. His mom texted me at 11 last night to say that their whole family had it now.

Now, all 4 of my grandkids have been throwing up since about 8 last night. I don't know about the other 2 dcgs. It's not food poisoning because none of the kids have eaten the same foods, here or at home.

That's 5 out of 7 kids and 4 started within an hour of each other. I've never had so many kids get sick at one time.

Now, I get to spend the whole day sanitizing my whole house in an effort to stop this bug. Although it probably doesn't matter as most of the kids already have it.

Dh says that we're spending the weekend locked in our bedroom away from the germs

    How awful.

How awful. I had something similar run through my DC last spring. It hit every single one of my DCKs, most of their siblings and parents and me (on my actual birthday). The only one that survived was H, which is surprising because he's usually the first to succumb.

Good luck this weekend, and don't forget to rest!

My grandkids have some contact, but not a lot with the dcb that got sick first. He's 2 and they're 6, 7, 9, and 17. My dd has no contact, at all. And they're all sick.

I just called 2 of my dcms, and neither of their kids are sick. These 2 play with all the same toys, etc with dcb and so far, they're fine.

Well that rots. I hope you all don't catch it. When my kids were little and the 1st kid would get sick, I'd cringe and wait for the dominoes to start falling.

The dominoes are falling. Out of 7 kids plus my 18 yo granddaughter, 1 wasn't here last week so I think she's safe, 6 have it. I'm just waiting for the last mother to call.

I called my my dcm and gave her a heads up. She took her child out to lunch who proceeded to eat her entire lunch before throwing up on the table, her mom's friend, and the floor. I told you it was coming!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, yeh I think I would've fed her lunch at home. I'll bet that curbed some appetites real quick.
Wow that bug isn't letting anybody escape.

We are dealing with the same bug! Had an infant throw up last Monday, then my son started Thursday night and even still today has lingering diarrhea. I have had 5 other children fall to it, my teenager son and daughter catch it, and my staff got it. Thankfully it skipped me! No fun!!

The other dcg got it, too.

So far, I know of 16 people who have come down with this virus since I sent my little guy home on Thursday. I hope it's over.

Are you sure its not noro virus-that one that spreads on cruise ships? We had three schools closed down last year from it.

We went through the same thing last week. My son started on Saturday, my daughter on Monday, by Tuesday I had it and another daycare kid. Wednesday another daycare kid. It was crazy, it just hit us all at within a day of each other. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as previous times. This one only lasted 8-12 hours with vomiting only 2-3 times. Then just week the rest of the day.

Hope everyone is well now and that you don't get.

Oh yuck!!! Sending feel better vibes your way!

I would also be airing out the house and sending everyone out to play as soon as they feel up to it.

My house is almost always open. I hate my house being closed up and keep the windows open unless it's super hot (95*) or super cold (60*),
