I have a dcg who's 14 months old, cute as a button. She's a real sweet heart. We've been trying to guide her with a couple things; one is hitting which we think we're making progress with. The other is throwing food at mealtime. I just place a few bites of something on her tray. If she doesn't want it then onto the floor it goes. She's a good little eater but am not sure how to curb the throwing. And what an arm she's got(makes my dogs extremely happy at clean-up time).
I think she's starting to get it a little bit, she'll place some of her bites of unwanted food into the cup holder part of her tray. But then the next meal, it goes flying again.
Any suggestions? I'll tell her no throwing, then take all but 1 bite of food off her tray, giving her a piece at a time until she can go back to eating. But that's time-consuming.
Thanks!!
