    O/T Going Back to School

I currently have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been considering going back to school to get my Bachelors so I can teach in a pulic school. I will be operating my home daycare 6 years in January. My son is almost 15 months old. We plan to have 1-2 more children. I will be 29 years old in February. I have to work full time to pay bills. Just to give you a little background info.

I was wondering if any of you have received your degree by doing everything online. I am looking into online schools such as Pheonix & Ashford but I just dont know much about them. Will it be difficult getting a teaching job at a public school with having an online degree instead of actually going to a classroom?

Any advice/opinions appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I would like to complete my BS as well, but where I live I would have to drive 1.5 hours one way 3 to 5 days a week to college....I received my Associates from a local 2-year community college and all but 6 classes were online which worked well for me...We have funds here for me to further my education but going during the day does not work for me....I would be interested in an online program, too. Good luck to you!

I would call your local board of ed, or any board of ed you want to work for, and ask them if they accept online degrees. When I was going for my MA, if you had As my job would pay for it, my district told me they'd accept online degrees. I don't think many do.
