    New Enrollment

When I wasn't even trying to enroll!

Their daycare gave notice 2 weeks ago that it was closing. They looked at a number of daycares in those 2 weeks and mine was one of the last. Honestly I wasn't actively trying to enroll but did have a spot open so figured 'why not' when they called.

They came, they saw, kid played, we chatted a little bit, and they left with the packet. The very next day they called and my answering machine was unplugged because I moved it and forgot to plug it back in. They had to track me down on my facebook business page and send me a message about wanting to start on Monday. I wasn't even in interview mode and didn't really give a decent tour. :: Dishes were in the sink, laundry was waiting to be done, I did vacuum but skipped the mopping.

I actually don't have a full time spot open but we're going to go with shortened hours on the 2 days a week that I'm full in the afternoon, the other 3 days are normal hours.

We're going to give it a trial run for a month and see how it goes. If it doesn't work with the shortened hours they'll look elsewhere, if it does work, they'll stay here.

You just never know I guess.

Good for you! A little extra cash in the pocket when you weren't expecting it.
